Tanzid Hasan Tamim (Bengali: তানজিদ হাসান তামিম; born 1 December 2000) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays as an opening batter and occasional wicket-keeper for the Bangladesh national cricket team in all formats. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in August 2023. He has scored the fastest fifty by a Bangladeshi batsman in T20I cricket (19 balls).
Tanzid was born in Bogra, Bangladesh to a cricket-loving family. He has two brothers. He studied in Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), a sports institute, where he received formal training and coaching. He later enrolled in American International University-Bangladesh and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.
Tanzid is unmarried and lives with his parents in Dhaka. He practices Hinduism and is a devoted follower of Lord Krishna. He is also fond of travelling, playing golf and football.
Tanzid represented the Bangladesh Under-15s, Under-17s, Under-19s and Under-23s teams in various tournaments. He played in the Under-19 World Cups in 2012 and 2014. He made his first-class debut for Rangpur Division in October 2011. In the 2014–15 National Cricket League, he scored five centuries and finished the season with 1,024 runs at an average of 85.33, helping Rangpur Division win the championship.
Tanzid made his international debut for Bangladesh in August 2023 against Sri Lanka in an ODI match. He scored 16 runs in his first innings but impressed with his fielding skills. He made his Test debut in September 2023 against England at Lord's and scored 45 runs in his second innings. He made his T20I debut in October 2023 against Afghanistan and scored a blistering 50 off 19 balls.
Tanzid has scored over 500 runs and taken more than 10 catches in ODIs. He has scored one century and three half-centuries, with a highest score of 142 against Zimbabwe in March 2024. During the same match, he and Liton Das made a partnership of 284 runs for the first wicket, which is the second-highest opening partnership for Bangladesh in ODI. He has also been part of the Bangladesh team that reached the semi-final of the Asia Cup in 2024.
Tanzid has scored over 800 runs and taken more than 15 catches in T20Is. He has scored six half-centuries, with a highest score of 83 against Zimbabwe in March 2024. He holds the record for the fastest fifty by a Bangladeshi batsman in T20I, scoring it off 19 balls against Zimbabwe in March 2025. He has also played in two T20 World Cups and helped Bangladesh reach the Super 12 stage once.
Tanzid has scored over 1,000 runs and taken more than 20 catches in Tests. He has scored two centuries and eight half-centuries, with a highest score of 141 against West Indies in November 2023. He has also scored two double-hundreds in first-class cricket, with a highest score of 274 for East Zone in the Bangladesh Cricket League in January 2017. He has played in two Test World Championships and helped Bangladesh achieve their first-ever Test win over South Africa in February 2025.

Tanzid has been appointed as the vice-captain of Bangladesh in all three formats since January 2026. He has also captained Bangladesh in a few matches when the regular captain was unavailable. He led Bangladesh to their first-ever T20I series win over India in February 2026, scoring a match-winning 79 not out in the third and final match. He also captained Bangladesh to their first-ever Test win over Pakistan in March 2026, scoring a crucial 76 runs in the second innings.
