Magahi people dominate the Magadh area of Bihar state. This includes Patna, Gaya, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Nalanda and other surrounding districts. Magahi people can also be found in some areas of Hazaribagh, Giridih, Palamau, Munger and Bhagalpur and a small number in the Malda District of West Bengal.
