Kadai Chicken

Ingredients

  • - 800 gms:Chicken
  • - 4-5 :Tomato ( puried)
  • - 1 tsp :Ginger paste
  • - 8-10 cloves : Garlic paste
  • - 4 :Chopped Onion
  • - 4 :Green cardamom
  • - 7-8 :Black pepper whole
  • - 4 :Clove
  • - 1 stick :Dalchini ( chinamon)
  • - 1 tsp :Red chili powder
  • - ¼ tsp :Haldi powder
  • - 1 tsp :Chicken powder
  • - 2 tbsp; chopped :Coriender leaves
  • - 3 :Capsicum cut into long slices
  • - Oil for cooking
  • - Green chili chopped
  • - Salt to taste

Method

  • - Wash and slit chicken. Sprinkle salt and red chili powder on it and keep it aside for 10 min.
  • - In the mean while; Heat oil in a karahi and put whole masalas, when the splitting sound comes add onion and saut it till it is dark brown in colour.
  • - Add ginger and garlic paste, tomatoes and cook till it leaves the oil.
  • - Add little more salt, haldi powder and chili (red / green).
  • - Also add chicken masala.
  • - Add chicken pieces and cook on low flame for about 10 min. stirring occasionally,
  • - Add 2 cups of hot water.
  • - Cook for another 5-7 min,
  • - Add capsicum and cook for 3-4 min or till the chicken is done.
  • - You can add more hot water to make more gravy.
  • - Serve hot with butter nan.
